Police: Driver Failed to Yield in FM 2288 Wreck That Injured Woman

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A two-vehicle crash at FM 2288 and Grand Court Road sent one driver to the hospital and resulted in a traffic citation Monday afternoon.

It happened around 5 p.m., and according to an officer with the San Angelo Police Department’s traffic unit, a white Buick Encore attempted to enter the roadway from a private drive and failed to yield the right of way to a black Toyota RAV4 traveling northbound on FM 2288.

The female driver of the Toyota reported chest pain and was transported to a nearby hospital as a precaution. Her injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

The Buick had four occupants, none of whom reported injuries and were released at the scene. The driver of the Buick was cited for failing to yield the right of way from a private drive.

Traffic was briefly impacted while emergency crews cleared the scene.
