One Hospitalized After Rear-End Crash on Main Street

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash on Main Street Thursday morning that left one person hospitalized and another driver cited for failure to control speed.

According to police at the scene, a white Kia Forte was stopped southbound on Main Street while attempting to turn into the MHMR parking lot. It was rear-ended by a white GMC Yukon that had pulled into a nearby parking lot after the crash.

The driver of the Forte was conscious and speaking with first responders before being transported to a nearby hospital. The extent of their injuries was not known. 

A driver and a child were inside the Yukon at the time of the crash but were not injured, according to police. Police issued a citation to the Yukon driver for failing to control speed.

The crash temporarily disrupted traffic on Main Street as police and firefighters worked to clear the scene.
