One Hospitalized After Driver Cuts Across Lanes to Reach Starbucks on N. Bryant

SAN ANGELO, TX — A driver attempting to turn into Starbucks caused a crash on N. Bryant Boulevard near W. 3rd Street Friday afternoon, sending one person to the hospital and slowing northbound traffic.

According to a San Angelo Police officer at the scene, the driver of a black pickup truck changed lanes abruptly from the inside lane in an attempt to reach the coffee shop, striking a red SUV traveling in the adjacent lane.

“One person from the red SUV is going to the hospital to get checked out,” the officer said. “I don’t see any major injuries.”

The driver of the pickup received a citation for an unsafe lane change. Several children were inside the black truck, but none were injured.
