No One Injured After Hit-and-Run Crash Involving Semi-Truck

SAN ANGELO, TX — A semi-truck left the scene after crashing into a car Friday, but police believe the driver may have been unaware of the accident.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Avenue N and Harrison Street at about 2:15 p.m. when a woman pulled up next to the semi-truck and attempted to turn right.

However, the semi-truck was also turning right, and its trailer crashed into the woman’s car.

The crash was initially reported as an intentional hit-and-run, but a traffic officer with the San Angelo Police Department said it was believed the truck driver didn’t even realize his trailer had struck the vehicle.

The woman driving the car was cited for passing on the right when prohibited.
