No Right of Way: Cars Crash While Exiting Opposite Driveways

SAN ANGELO, TX — A crash on Harris Avenue sent two people to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon.

According to a San Angelo Police Department traffic officer at the scene, the crash occurred when a black Nissan and a white Chevy Malibu collided as both vehicles were exiting private properties across from each other. One was attempting a left turn while the other was turning right, resulting in a collision in the middle of the roadway.

“There’s really no determination on who had the right of way, since they both came off of a private drive,” the officer said.

Each vehicle had a single occupant, and both drivers were transported to the hospital as a precaution. Authorities confirmed there were no life-threatening injuries.

As of now, no citations have been issued, and police indicated that none are likely.
