Crash Kills West Texas Woman on Interstate 20

 

TRENT, TX — An Odessa woman was killed from her injuries in a single-vehicle crash Saturday night on Interstate 20 west of the small town of Trent.

Viola Leeann Bingham, 58, died two days after the crash on Monday at Hendrick Medical Center North in Abilene.

According to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety, Bingham was traveling west on I-20 at about 10:10 p.m. Saturday when she lost control of her vehicle after failing to stay in a single lane.

The vehicle struck a guardrail and rolled over. Bingham, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected.

The weather conditions were clear, and road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
