Child Struck by Car While Riding Bicycle in San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian on a bicycle happened in a quiet San Angelo neighborhood on Wednesday. 

The crash occurred at the intersection of Oak Grove and Laurel Oak at around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, a white Chevy Traverse was headed southbound on Oak Grove when the driver struck a juvenile girl on a bike traveling on Laurel Oak Road. The young girl was transported to Shannon Medical Center, but she did not appear to have incapacitating injuries.

She was conscious but had a gash on her forehead and abrasions on her body.

No citation was issued due to the crash because the child failed to stop at the stop sign.
