Failure to Control Speed Causes Crash on Houston Harte Frontage Road

SAN ANGELO, TX — A driver’s failure to control her speed Monday afternoon caused a two-car crash on a Houston Harte frontage road.

At about 4 p.m., a silver Mazda crashed into the back of a black SUV as it was yielding to traffic exiting the Houston Harte Expressway.

The crash occurred in the 700 block of Shiloh Street and slowed traffic to one lane. Both vehicles had only one occupant.

The driver of the Mazda complained about minor injuries but did not receive medical treatment, according to a traffic officer with the San Angelo Police Department.

She was cited for failure to control speed.
