ECTOR COUNTY, TX – Two men were killed in a head-on collision late Saturday in Ector County, according to Texas Department of Public Safety.
The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of East Goldenrod Drive and North Alfalfa Drive, just north of Odessa. Authorities identified the victims as Juan Jesus Vasquez, 42, of Longview, and Nicholas Matthew Gonzalez, 34, of Miles.
DPS reports state that Vasquez was driving east in a Dodge Ram truck when he collided head-on with Gonzalez, who was traveling west in a Chevrolet Silverado. Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
