Baby in Critical Condition After Being Rescued from Midland House Fire

 

MIDLAND, TX — A baby girl is in critical condition after being rescued from a burning mobile home early Wednesday morning, according to the Midland Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to a structure fire at around 4:30 a.m. in the 5100 block of East County Road 71, where a double-wide mobile home was engulfed in flames. Homeowners informed crews that a child was still inside, prompting a rescue operation.

An emergency crew, identified as E4, located and rescued the infant, described as a female. Officials confirmed she was transported for medical treatment in critical condition.

Authorities have not released details on what caused the fire.
