One Dead in Fiery Crash on North State Highway 115 in Winkler County

 

WINKLER COUNTY, TX — A fatal crash early Sunday morning claimed the life of one person after a passenger vehicle and a commercial motor vehicle collided on North State Highway 115.

It happened at mile marker 358 around 3:40 a.m., according to the Winkler County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO).

The impact resulted in the passenger vehicle becoming fully engulfed in flames. Emergency responders from WCSO, Winkler County EMS, and the Kermit Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the scene.

The Texas Department of Public Safety was notified. 

Officials have not released further details regarding the victim or the cause of the collision.
