PLAINVIEW, TX — A small plane crash near the Plainview Municipal Airport on Thursday evening resulted in no injuries, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
At around 7 p.m. on Jan. 16, a Beechcraft Bonanza suffered a mechanical failure while preparing to land, prompting an emergency landing. The plane came to rest at the intersection of Southwest 3rd Street and Columbia Street in Plainview.
The pilot, Gary Garrison, 73, of Bridgeport, Texas, and his passenger, Mark Garrison, 30, of Plainview, were unharmed in the incident.
The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified and is overseeing the investigation.
