Grass Fire Near Twin Buttes Extinguished by Fire Crews

DOVE CREEK, TX — The Dove Creek Volunteer Fire Department, along with assistance from the Christoval Volunteer Fire Department and the Texas Forest Service, successfully contained a grass fire near Twin Buttes Lake on Thursday.

An alert from the Dove Creek VFD was initially sent out at around 3 p.m. No structures were reported in danger during the incident.

After coordinated efforts, the fire was fully extinguished, and units returned to the station.

Photos from the scene showed smoke billowing near the lake.
