Awful Crash on US 277 in Tuscola

TUSCOLA, TX — What appeared to be a very horrific crash happened this morning in front of Coronado's Grill, 12580 US Highway 277, in Tuscola on the way to Abilene from San Angelo.

According to witnesses at the scene, the crash may have involved a fatality as traffic on this narrow stretch of US 277 was blocked as first responders and the Texas DPS investigated.

A white Chevy Silverado was observed in the middle of the highway with debris scattered far and wide. Meanwhile, a truck tractor towing a box semi-trailer was observed wrecked with the truck tractor stopped after blowing through a wooden fence of a property adjacent to the highway.

Should the Texas DPS respond to our requests, we will provide an update as to what the investigation revealed about the cause of this crash.
