Fatal Crash Reported on County Road 300 in Loving County

MENTONE, TX — A fatal crash on County Road 300 near Mentone stopped traffic Monday afternoon, but the roadway was cleared by 7:30 p.m., authorities said.

The crash occurred around 4 p.m., according to a Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson. Traffic was backed up for several hours before the scene was cleared.

County Road 300 connects State Highway 302 in Mentone to Ranch-to-Market Road 652. The crash remains under investigation, with further details unavailable late Monday.
