Two Sent to Hospital After Crash at S Johnson and Dena Dr

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Two people were transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of South Johnson Street and Dena Drive, according to police.

The crash, involving a black Ford Explorer and a gray Kia Forte, occurred when the Kia, traveling north on South Johnson, ran a red light and collided with the Explorer, which was headed eastbound on Dena Drive.

The driver of the Explorer was evaluated on scene and declined further medical attention. The driver of the Kia also declined treatment but accompanied her son, a passenger in the vehicle, to the hospital for evaluation. Authorities reported no major injuries.

Dashcam footage from the Explorer confirmed that Kia disregarded the traffic signal. The Kia driver will be issued a citation for running a red light.
