CRANE, TX — The Ector County Sheriff’s Office has organized a fundraiser to support the family of three siblings tragically killed in a head-on crash near Imperial on November 20.
The victims, 18-year-old twin brothers Jaden and Jackie, and their 16-year-old sister, Nautica, were all pronounced deceased at the scene.
The siblings were the children of Patrol Lt. Heather Perkins, a 23-year veteran of ECSO, and Jackie Perkins Sr., who retired from the sheriff’s office in 2015 after 37 years of service. The sheriff’s office described the family as “good folks” and is asking the community for prayers and financial contributions to assist with funeral expenses and other costs during this difficult time.
The crash occurred around 7:20 p.m. on FM 1053 south of Highway 329. The driver of the second vehicle involved was transported to MCH Odessa but later succumbed to their injuries.
Buena Vista Independent School District announced the closure of schools for the remainder of the week. Counselors will be on hand to support grieving students and staff.
At the time of this publication, the GoFundMe has already raised nearly $35,000.
