Driver ‘Blacks Out’ in Crash, One Hospitalized

SAN ANGELO, TX - A crash this afternoon sent one person to the hospital.

It happened just before 2 p.m. at the intersection of Dallas Street and North Howard Street.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, this all happened when a white Ford F-150 was rear-ended while sitting at a red light.

It was reported that a silver Ford SUV was traveling westbound approaching the F-150 from the rear when it failed to control speed and collided with the truck.

The driver of the SUV was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

It was also reported by the San Angelo Police Department that a medical situation could have caused the crash.

The driver of the suspect vehicle said that he might have “blacked out.”

He said that he just had a medical procedure fairly recently that may have caused this.

It was also reported that citations are pending and that the driver will probably be issued a warning for his violation, which is a failure to control speed.

The driver of the F-150 was in good condition.
