Crash in Residential Neighborhood Sends Man to Hospital

SAN ANGELO, TX — A two-vehicle crash in a residential neighborhood resulted in one man being taken to the hospital about 5 p.m. Friday, July 19.

A red Chevy Silverado was traveling north on Stone Canyon Trail when the driver of a blue Chevy Malibu heading west on Briargrove Lane failed to yield the right of way, according to San Angelo police officer Lee Kvittem.

The Silverado slammed into the Malibu on the driver's side after it rolled through the yield sign.

The driver of the Silverado left the crash with no injuries, but the driver of the Malibu was taken to Shannon Medical Center in an ambulance, Kvittem said.

The driver of the Malibu was forced to exit his vehicle from the passenger side after he was unable to open the driver's side door.
