Texas DPS Seeks Public Assistance in Hit-and-Run Investigation

 

BANGS, TX — The Texas Department of Public Safety is seeking help from the public to locate the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that injured a pedestrian on June 28.

Pedro Amado Reyna, 19, of Brownwood, was walking west on US Highway 67 when he was struck by an unknown vehicle at 12:46 a.m. 

The driver did not stop or report the incident, leaving Reyna with incapacitating injuries. He was transported to Scott and White Hospital for treatment.

The crash occurred 0.1 miles east of mile marker 578, between County Road 174 and Sherwood Drive. 

Emergency responders arrived at the scene after the incident was reported by a motorist. 

However, investigators have no further information about the vehicle or the driver involved.

Trooper Rachael King, the investigator on the case, is requesting assistance from the community to identify the driver.
