Car Hauler Collides with Nissan, Hospitalizes One

SAN ANGELO, TX - A crash between a car hauler and a Nissan Sentra resulted in one person being sent to the hospital and traffic disruptions.

This happened at the intersection of North Koenigheim Street and West Harris Avenue around 11 p.m.

The San Angelo Police Department reported that the crash occurred when a gray Nissan passenger car, traveling westbound on Harris with a green light, was struck by a semi-truck that ran a red light.

According to police, the truck driver saw the light turn yellow but was unable to stop in time, leading to the truck hitting the driver’s side door of the Nissan.

The driver of the Nissan sustained minor injuries and was transported to Shannon Medical Center as a precaution.

The truck driver, who was not injured, received a citation for disregarding the red light.

Traffic on Koenigheim was reduced to one lane while Harris traffic was being redirected by San Angelo Police.
