WATCH: Possible Death Avoided at Notoriously Dangerous Intersection

SAN ANGELO, TX — First responders were dispatched to a notoriously deadly intersection for the report of a two-vehicle high-speed crash Friday.

Around 5:50 p.m., San Angelo First Responders, Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department, Tom Green County Sheriff's Office, and DPS were dispatched to the intersection of US Highway 87 and FM 2105 for a major crash.

On scene, reporters observed a blue hatchback vehicle and a black colored Ford Raptor. From reporters, the driver of the Ford Raptor, traveling northbound,  swerved out of the way of the hatchback, which appeared to be turning, spun around, and ended up in the bar ditch.

The awareness of the Ford Raptor driver probably saved lives as this intersection has had many fatal crashes due to the posted speed limit on US Highway 87.

Injuries were also observed but it is unknown if anyone was seriously injured.
