Duel of Honda Ridgelines Sends One into Front Yard

SAN ANGELO, TX — A crash sent one vehicle into a front yard on Sunset Drive this afternoon, nearly hitting a home but causing no injuries.

This happened around 3 p.m. near Market Street, at 3121 Sunset Dr.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, the crash involved two Honda Ridgelines—one maroon and one blue.

Authorities reported that the crash happened when the blue Honda, exiting the Market Street parking lot, failed to yield the right of way and crashed with the maroon Honda. The impact sent the maroon Honda into the front yard of a nearby residence. The house sustained no damage.

The blue Honda driver was cited for failing to yield the right of way. Both vehicles deployed airbags, but no injuries were reported.

As a result of the crash, traffic on Sunset Drive was reduced to one lane and was being diverted to maintain traffic flow.
