Crash Shuts Down Traffic on E Houston Harte Expy

SAN ANGELO, TX — A crash shut down traffic on the east Houston Harte Expressway near Main Street.

The San Angelo Police Department issued a Nixel alert at 5:30 p.m., advising motorists to avoid the area of Houston Harte near 7th Street and Main Street.

The crash has caused traffic to back up from Main Street to Bell Street, reducing movement to a single lane and necessitating police intervention to manage the flow, pushing traffic off Houston Harte to Main Street.

The crash occurred during the hailstorm. Both vehicles ended up in a ditch in the westbound lane.

An ambulance is on the scene, it’s unclear if anyone was injured.
