Store Clerk Leaps into Action at Horrific Crash in Grape Creek

SAN ANGELO— A horrible crash on Mother’s Day led one man who was tending a convenience store in Grape Creek to leap into action.

Around 3 a.m. on May 12, 2024, a four-wheeler and a truck crashed head-on at the intersection of US 87 and Grape Creek Rd. A convenience store worker saw the aftermath of the crash, locked the doors at his store, and ran to help the individuals who were involved. The man we talked with did not know if all lived as a few crash victims were eventually rushed to Shannon.

But before ambulances arrived, he helped perform life-saving measures on an individual who was badly injured.
