Crash Shuts Down West Loop 306 Exit, Sends Two to Hospital

SAN ANGELO, TX — Two people were hospitalized in a crash that shut down the South College Hills Blvd. exit off West Loop 306.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. when a Nissan rear-ended a Chrysler 300 that was yielding at a yield sign.

Police said the Nissan driver had been sent to the hospital and could not immediately provide a statement.

Police suspect the crash resulted from a failure to control speed.

The Chrysler passenger was transported to a local hospital.

Authorities said that while the passenger did not sustain incapacitating injuries, the condition of the Nissan's driver remains unclear.

No citations have been issued yet, but they are pending as the investigation continues.
