Passenger Killed in Scurry County Crash

 

SNYDER, Texas – One passenger was killed in a crash on U.S. 84 at Ennis Creek Road just outside Snyder, Texas Thursday, March 21, 2024.  

According to the crash report filed by Department of Public Safety Trooper Jeffery Galindo of Colorado City, a 2008 Saturn Outlook passenger car was traveling west on Ennis Park Road approaching the intersection with U.S. 84.  

At the same time, a 1999 Chevrolet 3500 pickup was southbound on U.S. 84.  The driver of the Saturn entered the intersection crossing over the northbound lanes and entered the southbound lanes.  The Saturn failed to yield the right of way and the pickup crashed into the side of the car. 

A passenger in the Saturn, identified as Victoria Ann Salinas, 22, of Snyder was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased.  

Both drivers were seriously injured in the crash and transported to a Lubbock hospital for treatment.  

The vehicles crashed at 8 p.m. last Thursday.  The weather was clear and the roadway was dry.
