Uncontrolled Crossing Leads to Crash

SAN ANGELO, TX - A crash occurred at the intersection of Coleman and Wimberly, involving a blue Chevy Silverado and a white Toyota passenger car this evening.

The crash unfolded as the blue Chevy Silverado, carrying two occupants, was traveling north on Wimberly.

Meanwhile, a white Toyota passenger car was heading west on Coleman.

It was said by the San Angelo Police Department that the intersection is an uncontrolled intersection. Meaning there is no yield, or stop sign for any direction of traffic.

The crash transpired when both vehicles entered the intersection nearly simultaneously.

Inside the Toyota were three occupants, with two individuals subsequently transported to the hospital for precautionary measures.

Similarly, one passenger from the blue Chevy Silverado was taken to Shannon Medical Center for medical assessment as a preventive measure.

There were no life threatening injuries reported and nobody was cited for any violation.
