Dementia Patient Wanders from Home & Drowns in Lake

BROWNWOOD, TX — The individual who drowned in Lake Brownwood has been identified as Ricky Green, 64, according to authorities.

Green was discovered deceased in the Lake Haven area of Lake Brownwood on December 31. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office reported that Green, who was afflicted with Dementia, wandered away from his residence around 3:00 a.m.

His body was found in the water shortly after sunrise. The authorities have notified his next of kin. As of now, no additional details regarding the incident have been disclosed by officials.
