2 Crashes Snarl a Quiet Tuesday Afternoon in San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo police said a woman was hit by a vehicle near the intersection of S. Oakes St. and Henry O. Flipper at around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The investigation wasn't complete before a second crash nearby had police scrambling to clear a major throughway in the middle of the city.

At the Fort Concho crash, a woman pedestrian sustained a few scratches and bruises but nothing life-threatening, police said. As police conducted the investigation, the second major crash was reported at the intersection of W. Beauregard and S. Abe. Police said no citations were immediately issued at this vehicle-vs-pedestrian crash.

The weather was clear and the roadways dry during this daytime crash near Fort Concho.

At the second crash on W. Beauregard, traffic was snarled and one car had visible damage to the front end. Police were finishing up when we arrived at around 6 p.m. and traffic was starting to flow normally.
