Woman Killed in Head-on Crash Near Eldorado

 

ELDORADO, TX — On US 190 Friday night at 10:15 p.m., a Brownwood woman was killed in a crash when she attempted to pass slower traffic in a no-passing area of the highway.

According to Texas DPS, the crash happened 9.5 miles east of Eldorado on US 190. The woman who was killed, Claudia Guadalupe, 38, was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado. DPS said that she was westbound behind a slow moving semi truck and attempted to pass the truck tractor and trailer in a no passing zone. Traveling eastbound was Jimmy Lee, 66, of Christoval driving a 2015 Ram 1500. The two pickups collided in the eastbound lane. Mr. Lee was rushed to Shannon ER with incapacitating injuries.

The driver of the 2021 International truck tractor towing a semi-trailer, Terry Lee Carson, 42, of Killeen, was not injured.

DPS reported that the skies were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the crash.
