Driver Dispute Causes Friction at Crash on Sherwood

SAN ANGELO, TX — Two drivers disputed who’s at fault at a major crash near the Southside Walmart on Thursday night.

According to the San Angelo Police Department’s Luke Martinez, on July 13, 2023 at around 8:15 p.m., officers with the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of FM 2288 in Sherwood wait for the report of a major crash.

Upon arrival, they discovered a two vehicle crash between a red Ford escape, and a gray Toyota Tacoma.

No major injuries occurred in the crash. However, the intersection was shut down for more than an hour as first responders cleaned the wreckage up.

The police were not able to give a full description on what happened as both drivers claim they had the green light. Because of this, citations were not issued.
