DPS: Gouldbusk Man Dies in ATV Crash Near O.H. Ivie Saturday

 

SAN ANGELO – A 37-year-old Gouldbusk man died in an ATV crash near O.H. Ivie in Coleman County Saturday.  

According to information from the Texas Department of Public Safety office in Abilene, Tyrell Harding, 37, of Goldbusk was driving a Polaris RZR quad side-by-side ATV Saturday evening around 11 p.m. on FM-1026 about .2 miles west of Gouldbusk with a 15-year-old passenger.  

The DPS report says the ATV was traveling at a high rate of speed westward on the highway when Harding intentionally steered off the roadway into the barrow ditch.  The ATV hit a culvert and went airborne and began to roll.  Harding was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.  He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The passenger was wearing a seatbelt and was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
