Biker Killed in Residential Crash Thursday

ABILENE – A 26-year-old biker from Baird was killed in a crash in Abilene Thursday.  

According to the Abilene Police Department, the crash occurred at 1:27 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2023, on Old Anson Rd. at the Lowden St. intersection. First responders arrived to find Nathaniel Wayne Ralph lying in the middle of the roadway next to his 2012 Yamaha motorcycle. Reports indicate he was not wearing a helmet.  

Traffic Investigators are looking into the cause of the crash.

Justice of the Peace Mike McAuliffe was called out and pronounced the rider deceased at the scene. Next of kin notification has been made.
