WATCH: 2 Teens Hospitalized in Golf Cart Crash at Country Club

 

SAN ANGELO— An afternoon crash in Bentwood Country Club sent two children to the hospital after the driver flipped the golf cart on a public street.

San Angelo Police and First Responders were dispatched to the 5100 block of Beverly Drive at around 2:30 p.m. regarding a major vehicle crash. Once on scene, officers located a golf cart that was flipped over. The driver and four other individuals in the cart were driving south on Beverly Drive coming off of North Bentwood Drive.

There were five individuals in the cart when it crashed and two were transported to the hospital for minor injuries. 

The female driver will receive a citation for no driver's license and failure to control speed. The child's parent will also be receiving a citation for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a motor vehicle.
