San Angelo ISD Mourns the Loss of Elementary School Teacher

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Independent School District is currently mourning the loss of one of its elementary school teachers.

As previously reported, on Sunday, June 4, 2023, a head-on crash killed a driver in Mereta. She was identified as 46-year-old Angela Hollon. For the original report, see: DPS: Mereta Woman Killed in Head on Crash Sunday

New information obtained by San Angelo LIVE! reveals that Hollon was an elementary school teacher at San Angelo ISD's San Jacinto Elementary School. Hollon had also been an educator at Ballinger Elementary in the past.

The San Angelo ISD did release a statement on the tragic situation:

San Angelo ISD and San Jacinto Elementary mourns the loss of former employee, Ms. Angela Hollon. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family, friends, students and school staff most affected by the tragedy. We are not only a school, but a community and collectively feel the loss. San Angelo ISD has a team of professionals trained to help with the needs of students and staff at difficult times such as this.
