1 Dead After Car Cashes Into Fence

 

ODESSA, TX — A single vehicle crash on Loop 338 in Odessa left one man dead and another hospitalized. 

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, on May 26, 2023, DPS Troopers were called to a crash on Loop 338 just two and a half miles south of Odessa. 

Once on scene, the troopers discovered a Chevrolet Impala that had crashed into a fence. Two people were in the Impala. 

The driver, Luis Carlos Lujan-Gameros, 51, of Odessa, was pronounced dead on scene. The 30-year-old unidentified passenger was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital for treatment. 

The Troopers investigation determined that the truck swerved off the west side of the road and into the fence for an unknown reason.
