WATCH: Pickup Truck Catches Fire at the Sunken Gardens

 

SAN ANGELO— A white pickup truck caught on fire this afternoon by the Sunken Gardens at Avenue D and S. Abe St.

At around 5 p.m. on Monday afternoon, dispatchers called the San Angelo Fire Department and the San Angelo Police Department to the intersection of Avenue D and S. Abe for a vehicle fire.

 

By the time reporters arrived on scene, the San Angelo Fire Department had already extinguished the blaze. An employee working nearby caught the action while the pickup was actually on fire.

It is currently unknown what started the blaze but San Angelo Fire Marshalls did arrive on scene after the fire was out to begin an investigation. The pickup was the only vehicle involved and it is also unknown if any injuries occurred at the scene.

San Angelo police officer shut down the left side of S. Abe St. while the Fire Department worked to extinguish the flames.
