Semi Crashes into Creek in Abilene

 

ABILENE— A truck pulling a semi-trailer veered off the highway and into a creek in Abilene on Friday.

Friday afternoon, a semi-truck was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 277 when the driver lost control, left the roadway, crossed the access road, and drove right into the Elm Creek.

The driver was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Also, the truck did damage the guard rail on both Highway 277 and the access road when driving into the creek.
