WATCH: Pickup Destroyed in Crash with 18-wheeler

SAN ANGELO – A Chevrolet pickup was destroyed in a crash with an 18-wheeler Tuesday evening at the intersection of Hohmann Rd. and FM-380 near the Concho River in eastern Tom Green County.

Tom Green County Sheriff's Deputies, DPS Troopers, East Concho Volunteer Firefighters and San Angelo EMTs were dispatched to the crash scene around 6 p.m.

Reporters on the scene say it appears the dark colored Chevrolet pickup crashed into the back of the 18-wheeler trailer which appears to be capable of hauling large farm equipment.

Watch video from the crash scene below:

A SAFD ambulance can be seen on the video above at the crash scene.  Investigators didn't say if there were any injuries or the extent of any injuries at the scene.

There is damage to the back of the trailer and the pickup appears to be destroyed.  All the airbags on the pickup appear to have deployed.

Traffic was completely blocked on FM-380 for over an hour while law enforcement officers investigated the crash and the debris was removed from the roadway.

We will update this story when and if any additional information becomes available from the DPS or other first responders.
