18-wheeler Crash Snarls Traffic on Sherwood Way

 

SAN ANGELO – An 18-wheeler made an errant turn at the intersection of the Loop 306 Frontage road and Sherwood Way Wednesday morning running over a car and blocking traffic.  

According to radio communications, the crash was classified as a major crash with injuries when San Angelo Police and Firefighters were dispatched around 11 a.m.  

San Angelo Police issued a Nixle alert saying, "SAPD Avoid the area of Sherwood Way and W. Loop 306 Frontage road near Lowes due to a motor vehicle accident."

The 18-wheeler apparently was attempting to turn right onto Sherwood Way from the Loop 306 frontage road and crashed into a blue passenger car.  

There is no information available about any injuries or citations.
