WATCH: Driver Hospitalized After Navigator Runs Stop Sign

SAN ANGELO – One woman was hospitalized after a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Twohig and Koenigheim downtown Friday afternoon.

According to San Angelo Police Department Public Information Officer Kelsey Hernandez, the 73-year-old female driver of a white Lincoln Navigator was stopped at the stop sign on Twohig heading east.  A 37-year-old female driving a maroon Honda SUV was northbound on Koenigheim.  The driver of the Navigator pulled out into traffic without the right of way and was struck by the Honda SUV.

Watch video from the crash scene below:

Officer Hernandez says the Honda crashed into the Navigator because the driver of the Navigator failed to yield the right of way.  The driver of the Honda was transported to the hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.

The driver of the Navigator was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.
