Unlicensed Driver Causes Chain Reaction Crash

SAN ANGELO, TX – An unlicensed driver on Monday afternoon caused lots of damage in a four vehicle pile up at a busy San Angelo intersection.

According to San Angelo Police Officer Daniel Welch, on Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, officers with the SAPD, along with fire and rescue, were dispatched to the 800 block of N. Bryant for the report of a major crash.

When they arrived, officers discovered a four vehicle crash that included a white Dodge Charger, a white Nissan Rouge, a 30 foot equipment trailer, and a white GMC truck.

Ofc. Welch confirmed that the pile up started after the Charger crashed into the back of the Rouge. The crash sent the Rouge into the trailer, which sent the trailer into the truck.

No injuries were reported on the scene. The driver of Charger was cited for failure to control speed and driving without a driver's license.
