SAN ANGELO – The driver of a Lexus SUV ran a yield sign Sunday night at the intersection of Cecil and Preusser in east San Angelo sending a Nissan through a fence and the driver to the hospital.
According to San Angelo Police on the scene, the Lexus was northbound on Cecil approaching the Yield sign. A Nissan passenger car was in the intersection heading east on Preusser. The driver of the Lexus failed to Yield causing the crash sending the Nissan off the roadway into a yard and through a fence.

The driver of the Nissan was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The driver of the Lexus was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.
