San Angelo Police Officer Accused of DWI Crash

SAN ANGELO — The San Angelo Police Department has released information regarding an off-duty police officer who was driving while intoxicated early yesterday morning.

The release states that on Monday, December 26, 2022, at 2:47 a.m., San Angelo Police were dispatched to the 4200 block of Sunset Drive for a single car motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, police saw the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, identified as 48-year-old Cory Moore of the San Angelo Police Department. Local police then contacted the on-duty SAPD supervisor and assistance was requested from the Texas Department of Public Safety to avoid questions of a conflict of interest.
