TRAFFIC ALERT: Guardrail Installation on Sherwood Way is Causing Traffic Jam

SAN ANGELO, TX – Road construction is causing a traffic jam on Sherwood Way as Texas Department of Transportation crews replace guardrails over the Red Arroyo near Southwest Blvd.

According to our reporter on scene, on Nov. 30, TxDot road crews closed down the right lane on Sherwood Way west bound for road construction. Because of this a massive line of traffic built up from the construction on Southwest to the Oxford intersection. Here is a video of the intersection.

For the past few weeks TxDot crews have been installing a new guard rail system on the bridge that runs over the Red Arroyo. Now that the east bound side is complete the crews have begun working on the other side of the road.

Traffic is down to one lane and is expected to stay that way for the next few weeks.
