WATCH: Two Vehicle Crash Shuts Down US 87 North of San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO – A major crash shut down US 87 coming into San Angelo Wednesday morning. 

According to reporters on scene, on Jul. 27 at around 11 a.m., Deputies with the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office, along with fire and rescue, were dispatched to U.S. 87 North near Apache Tr. for the report of a major crash.

When the crew arrived, they discovered a red Chevy Silverado and a black Chevy Camaro that had crashed on the highway. Here is a video of the scene.

It is not confirmed at this time but reporters do believe that the driver of the Camaro was taken to the hospital.

No word yet on how the crash occurred.

The highway coming into town has been shut off at near FM 2105. Traffic is being diverted down Sideview Rd.
