Memorial Day Weekend Crash Kills One in Tom Green County

SAN ANGELO, TX – One person was killed on Friday night in a crash in northern Tom Green County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, on May 27 at around 7:51 p.m., troopers with Texas DPS were dispatched to the intersection of FM 2105 and Rust Rd. for the report of major crash.

When they arrived, the troopers discovered a 2009 Pontiac G5 GT and a 2010 Dodge Ram 3500 that had crashed in the middle of the intersection.

The investigation by the DPS revealed that the Pontiac was traveling south on Rust Rd while the Dodge Ram was traveling east on FM-2105. The Pontiac failed to yield right-of-way at a stop intersection and was struck by the Dodge Ram in the eastbound lane of FM-2105. The Pontiac and the Dodge Ram skid off the roadway after the crash and came to rest in a field southeast of the intersection.

The Pontiac was occupied by two people. The driver, Christopher Davidson, 31, of San Angelo was taken to Shannon with incapacitating injuries and the passenger, Cindy Davidson, 50, was pronounced dead on scene.

The driver and single occupant of the Dodge Ram was not injured. Everyone involved in the crash was wearing their seatbelt.

At the the time of the crash the weather was clear and the road was dry.
