UPDATE: Truck Plows Into Bicyclist on South Bell Street, Suspected Meth Pipe Found

SAN ANGELO, TX – A bicyclist was sent to the hospital late Saturday night after he was hit by a pickup truck.

According to reporters on scene, on May 21, officers with the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Norma and S Bell St. for the report of a truck versus a pedestrian crash.

When police arrived they discovered a Dodge Ram 1500 that had crashed into a man riding a bicycle. Check out the video below for on scene footage:

The male on the bicycle was immediately taken to the hospital with incapacitating injuries. Police on scene confirmed that the man had a light on the front of his bike. In the state of Texas a bicyclist must have a white reflector on the front of their bike and a red reflector on the back

Police said determining who's at fault and the issuing of citations are pending the completion of the investigation.

Drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine was found at the scene. It was discovered about 15 feet from the crash in the Belmore Baptist Church yard. This does not imply the paraphernalia, a pipe, and suspected meth was possessed by either party involved in the crash.
