SAN ANGELO – Both drivers escaped injury in a traffic-stopping crash Friday morning at the busy intersection of Abe St. and Beauregard.
According to the San Angelo Police Department Traffic Division investigating officer, a tan Toyota passenger car and a white Toyota SUV were southbound on Abe St. at the time of the crash.
The driver of the car was in the middle lane and attempted to turn left onto Beauregard and drove into the path of the SUV causing the crash.

The SUV then crashed into the passenger car stopping traffic. The initial call was for a major crash which by definition includes injuries.
The investigating officer said at the scene that no one was transported to the hospital and any injuries that occurred apparently were minor in nature.
Citations will be issued at the conclusion of the crash investigation.
